from 上海 with love

Having a really close friend in Shanghai has made Mr. & Mrs. Lim’s travel plans revolve around this city alot. After visiting a Chinese city, they will end up staying in Shanghai for a few days each time. Mr. Lim’s painting illustrates a piece of his memory of Shanghai, bringing us to an unexpected place – Shanhaiguan Road.

Mr. Lim 和太太在上海有个非常要好的朋友，因此不论他们到中国哪个城市玩儿，都一定会在上海呆上几天。对于上海的记忆，他画出了一个我们意想不到的地方——山海关路。

“We love morning strolls at the Jing’an Sculpture Park and we often end up along Shanhaiguan Road. There’s basically everything from daily amenities to fruits & greens; dried goods section to wet market. In the day, it’s always bustling with life and yet by nightfall, the serenity is exceptionally charming.”

“我和太太总爱一早到附近的静安雕塑公园散步，随后就到山海关路逛逛。从日用品到蔬菜水果，从干粮五谷杂粮到海鲜家禽，这里真的层出不穷，无所不有。白天热闹得令人感到很欢快，到了夜里又觉得一片寂静也格外动人。”
